3 Best Tourist Attractions in China

A visit to China is an absolute must for anybody who enjoys travelling. China has a rich and wonderful culture which is completely different to that in which we live here in the western world. Whilst visiting China, as well as experiencing and exploring the Chinese culture, there are certain attractions that you simply must visit.

The Great Wall of China

Construction initially began on this wonder of the world in the fifth century BC. It was built initially as a means of keeping those from outside of the empire from entering. Over time, various walls were constructed, which together form a fortress stretching almost nine Great Wall of Chinathousand kilometres. The Great Wall of China is regarded as one of the most marvellous constructions built by man and still exists, in the main, in the state in which was created. Certain parts have been restored specifically for tourism purposes, but the more adventurous amongst you may like to try and walk the entire length.

The Forbidden City, China

Located in the centre of Beijing, the Forbidden City is a world heritage site. For hundreds of years this site was the home to Emperors and their families. It was last used for this purpose in 1912. In recent times the city has been used as a home to the Palace Museum, a home to some of the most famous artwork in China.

Karst Mountains in Yangshuo, China

These natural beauties are a sight to behold and a haven for nature lovers. Also, if you have a love for photography or painting then you will absolutely adore this landscape. These mountains demonstrate perfectly the contrast in Chinese culture, from bustling modern cities to natural wonders.
