Peking University (Beijing)
China has one of the largest populations in the world and is amongst the leaders in terms of innovation and research. It is not surprising therefore that there are a number of universities spread around the country for students to choose from. One such university is Peking University (in Beijing).
Beijing is the capital of China and, as such, it has the perfect infrastructure to cater for the thousands of students who choose to study in the city. Included on the register are
around 2,000 international students who are attracted to the city not only by the quality of the educational available, but also by the vast culture and the opportunity to make good links in one of the world’s leading cities.
The prospectus at Peking University is extensive and there are courses which fall into all of the categories which you would expect from a leading university, but in particular the university has a reputation as being a homing ground for some of the country’s best philosophers and thinkers.
As well as having a great academic reputation, the university is also known for the fantastic environment that is provided for the students. The architecture around the campuses is amongst the best in the city and it is nicely complimented by pleasant green patches which are refreshing amongst the concrete jungle of the garden.
Peking University places the social aspect of student life highly in the list of priorities as it is viewed as essential for students to develop their social skills and talents outside of the academic environment. There are a number of events organised including festivals and sporting events.
Peking (Beijing) is a great place to study given the cultural experience you will get to experience. If you have the chance to spend time in Beijing I would highly recommend it.
