China main international airports guide (or 5 main airports)

There are many major airports linking China to the rest of the world by the most significant airports are the Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong, Chengdu Shuangliu, Shanghai Honggiao and Shenzhen Baoan International Airport.

Beijing Capital International Airport

Beijing Capital International Airport can be found in the north-eastern part of Beijing. It is located about 25 kilometres from the city’s centre and it is, by far, the busiest airport in China.  The airport serves a total of 66 foreign and domestic airline companies and more than 5,000 flights to other destinations are offered.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport

Shanghai Honggiao International Airport is Shanghai’s second busiest airport and it is situated 13 kilometres from Shanghai’s centre. This award-winning airport handles over 8 million passengers every year.

Shenzhen Baoan International Airport

Shenzhen Baoan International Airport is a modern transportation hub known for handling land, sea and air travel. Because of its proximity to the sea, as well as to major Chinese motorways, Shenzen Baoan International Airport provides travellers with excellent transfer capacities and easy access to other modes of transportation.
